U-Haul Car Hauler
Anyone know, or have tried to transport a ZL1 on a U-Haul car trailer. Moving this summer and am going to have to trailer my beast. Not sure that it’ll fit...

I pulled the car up on the trailer. As it got close to the front, I had to drive the front wheels up on (2) 2x10s so the front fascia would clear. I will look and see if I took some pics and show what I mean.

ok. still looking for pictures of the car on the trailer, but here is the trailer I used.
notice where the black straps/"net" mounts to the trailer floor. There is rod that it mounts to. From that point to the front, I had two 2x10s stacked. I had one before the "rod" to make it a progressive step up. I also placed a 2x10 under the end of the ramps as the car pulled up on it so it didn't "bottom out". better safe than sorry.

What was the purpose of the double stack 2x10s forward of the front tires(?), that part wasn’t clear to me. |

It's not the best pic but if you zoom in you can see the wood under the front tires

You can see the wood better in the pics below, the z51 does sit higher than my z06.....the board under the front tire is extra long because at the time those were the same boards I used in front of the trailer ramps. |

Be really careful that the one you get is wide enough. I told them year and car make, and the trailer they gave me wasn’t wide enough, messed up both rear rims.

As far as the trailer not being wide enough is not an issue as long as you have the newer trailer that's silver, like the ones in my photos. The z06 has 335 tires which fit on the trailer without rubbing |

The fender on the drivers side folds down to be able to open the door.
I think all the questions have been cleared up with everyone else. Let me know if anything else needs cleared up.
