Ready for Mid-Ohio, so took some photos of the ZL1 1LE!
I'm heading out to Mid Ohio tomorrow for a track day, so I decided to take some shots of the car.
As for prep, we swapped back to the stock wheels/tires (I have Forgelines with Michelin 4S for the street), went with track camber, track alignment, raised the front to 690mm, changed oil, changed brake fluid (Motul RBF660), etc, etc. I also have the complete car wrapped in STEK DYNO Shield film for max clarity (protection AND looks!). I'll be interested in seeing how the car does at the track, and compares to my previous Z06/Z07, and 991.2 Turbo S. Enjoy the photos, and I'll report back after the track day... |

Can’t wait to get mine broken in and track prepped! Only difference is I’d be going to the local to me Utah Motorsports Campus!

Every time I see a pic of a RH ZL1 1LE, I think to myself "Damn that's a fine looking car!" ..and then I remember to look in my garage

Raised the front? Usually track prep would be the opposite.

Your car looks a bit lower in front - you sure it was raised? Did you keep the rear bar in the middle adjustment?
Love Mid Ohio - enjoy! |

Will do. Thank you. I've done countless laps there on two wheels as well...love the track! Yes. The Camaro team designed the handling characteristics around a minimum of 690mm in the front. Yes, it sits at 690mm which is up slightly from where it came stock. Thanks. |

Where did u find that information, that would be an interesting read. Wonder if it is a ratio to the rear height? I understand raising the front and corner balancing, just not sure where this car sits from the factory and where optimal height and weight is for this car at mid-ohio. Seen some video of guys at mid-ohio already, and u can see and hear where areas can be improved. I have recently been rewatching some of my own videos and wondering what I was thinking at each corner. Lol

Assuming you're talking about my Z06 video, I've already knocked over 4 seconds off of that time, so yes...definitely areas for improvement based off of that video! |

So it is assuming the rear height is oem, or a certain height then? If the whole car is lowered, 690mm would no longer work. What is the rear? Now I gotta go watch your videos, lol

Stock height on the ZL1 1LE rear...not sure why anybody would want to lower it more. Stock height, full tank of gas, measured on a level surface. Ground to the center point of the underside of the front fender.
