NITROUS
HAS ANYONE HAD GREAT SUCESS WITH NITROUS ON THEIR LS3? HOW MUCH DO YOU SPRAY? ANY PROBLEMS? ANY THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR? HOW MUCH BEFORE IT BLOWS UP? HAVE LS3 W LUMPY CAM AND HEADERS. WANT A S/C BUT RIGHT NOW DONT HAVE ALL THE CASH TO DO IT ALL THE WAY. SO I HEAR NITROUS IS JUST AS FUN FOR WAY LESS. MY QUESTION I GUESS IS WILL IT HOLD UP AND FOR HOW LONG. I DRIVE IT LIKE I STOLE FROM THE TIME I START IT TO THE TIME I SHUT IT OFF. ANY INSIGHT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

you should be fine with a 100 shot as long as you have it tuned for it... There is a timing retard know that I would sugest.. that way you can run the timing you have now wile driving around. When you get ready to hit the happy button set it up to pull 4 degrease of timing. I would also recomend a RPM switch, some of the more experianced guys should chime in.... I am fairly sure 100 is very safe with the right tune....

It depends on the nitrous kit cause they are all rated different but we've it ours with as much as 150-175shot and it lives and is safe. But like mgoodbar having it tuned for it is the best way to go...

Chris, The LS3 loves the bottle. You can safely spray up to about 150 shot on the stock engine. You will need to upgrade the fuel hose from the passenger side frame rail to the fuel rail with this hose. http://www.nitrousoutlet.com/catalog...0&product=4422
You will need to change your spark plugs to a NGK BR7EF. Here is a link to help you understand what accessories you need and what they do. http://www.nitroustech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2 Here is another link to the Nitrous Install GM Hightech covered. http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...tem/index.html Let me know if you need help with any tech questions. Chris G., I'm in a similar situation and am planning to put mine on the bottle. Lumpy cam, headers. I'm thinking a primo wet plate 150 shot, nano, lingenfelter timing retard, dedicated fuel system. Not enough people on this site doing nitrous, though there appear to be some awesomely knowledgable vendors who chime in. 12.5 @ 115mph is my current best run W/O n2o
