I made 5-6 passes. I was spinning pretty bad in second gear, most were high 10 low elevens. I turned the boost down and managed to hook the whole way and got a 10.6.

Very impressive Man. That car has 9's in with a Weld setup on high boost. I spent more time swapping wheels from factory to Weld and back again then I did racing. Had to get that car back to Tampa in one piece with rain coming in. Wish I had made a few more hits but I got some good data on what I need to work on.

Paul I am going to Ocala 1/2 mile as a spectator this year. That sandy runway and 40 mph crosswind scared the shot out of me at 150 mph last year. I hear they will be bringing sweepers and other stuff in to make it better in a couple weeks. See you there Man

I started by going off the times on C5 fast list and once i started posting what i was running it became viral nobody else claimed a faster time besides vengeance when they supposedly got the record by going 9.6 and i beat it and have been going faster since and since nobody has stepped up and proved they run faster I keep the title. The date i made the ''bolt-on'' pass it was the fastest i put the dates next to the times the records were set.

That's a pathetic post. You want to compare a custom built zl1 with non factory motor, transmission, rear end and suspension to cars that are running what they came out of the factory with?

Yeah so based on that logic lets hate ALL SWAPPED CARS. Forget LS swaps. It's a modified car. If your pockets were like his you would do the same probably faster. He would walk me and you if he starts outside the car with it turned off

I don't think anyone is hating on anything here. Just a tube frame car with a ZL1 front clip (1 piece) with a big block, completely different drivetrain, rear suspension, etc shares nothing with a ZL1. It's a bad ass car and I don't think a single person in their right mind wouldn't love the car, but to suggest it is a ZL1 is quite a stretch.

If your criteria for whether it's still a ZL1 hinges on it having a vin # then I guess it's a ZL1. If it's based on having any components shared by a ZL1 (or a Camaro for that matter) other than the shell of the body and the dash it is not.

Your view and mine don't matter. His insurance protects a ZL1. That's a fact our opinions are not.
