Faded hood issue
Does anyone know if there is a way to "revive" the flat black hood from a '13 1LE? I bought the car used and the hood is not in the best shape. Aside from re wrapping it, I was trying to figure out if there is any product out there that can help with the fading or whatever was used on it to cause the issue. Thank you

Look on Adam’s Polish I’m sure they got something to help.

Thanks for the responses so far. I think I have tried the back 2 Black without great results. Maybe I’ll try a small inconspicuous corner with it.

I have a 1LE, I clay bar my hood every so often. After claying and making sure the vinyl is dry, I that I go over it with some Adams VRT on their blue hex grip applicator pad and knock it down with a micro fiber towel.
VRT does leave a slight shine for a few days but then the vinyl returns to the flat look. Coming up on 5 years of ownership next month and my hood still looks like the day I picked it up.

Here are a few pics so you all can see what I mean. At night or from far looks ok. But during the day or close up it looks bad. I’ll be trying the Adams matte spray I just got. Hopefully that works.

Photobucket.....you need to pay for 3rd party picture posting. So we see nothing.
