I sent him $900 over PayPal, took a risk of not getting Buyer Protection, and he never responded to any emails from me since. PayPal obviously won't do anything, so it looks like I got scammed out of grand

I knew it was super shady, he posted a set of MRR228's a few weeks back and I said I was interested so he just went and shipped them without any confirmation (which right there I knew something shady is going on). I told him to go back and cancel the shipment because I tried calling him with no answer before confirming ordering. I then hit him up yesterday and asked if he still had them and that I'd like to talk to him on the phone. He did pick up (Spanish accent) and said he still has them and people keep screwing him over. We agreed on $650 which again I knew was too good to be true. He since then has asked me to send the paypal a couple times. I'm so happy and thankful for everyone that posted the scam alerts! I was a couple hours away from sending some asshole 650 hard earned dollars. Thanks again Camaro5! Lets keep the scamming p.o.s's out of here!

He got me a week or two ago. Somehow he managed to create a dummy UPS tracking number that looks like an item and it gets scanned updates but then never gets delivered. I called UPS first to ask about it and they were immediately saying I should pursue a PayPal claim as they've never seen anything like that happen before. Haven't gotten my money back yet as the case is still being "reviewed" by PayPal. I might call them and let them know that he is a known scammer now. Some people are just assholes.

I'm curious as to how he does that. I wonder if he works for UPS, or he knows someone who works for UPS who has the capability to do these dummy scans for him?
