Installing Universal Fit Cats with LT Headers?

I'm currently running OBX LT headers with the catless mid pipes, and am thinking of installing Cats in order to pass emissions without trouble. I've found a lot of universal fit cats on Summit racing etc., but am wondering what will work with my set up? I'd assume they'd be welded in place of my catless mid pipes, but this makes it difficult because the header has a 1 3/4 inch tube and I believe the exhaust is 2 or 2.5 inches. Could anybody lend me some insight here?

An exhaust shop should be able to do it for you. It's what I'm doing for my pacesetters

My concern is regarding finding one that fits though. All the ones I have seen are the same size on both ends. Which would work if they were to place them behind the midpipes, but wouldnt that cause an issue because of where they are meant to be in relation to the O2 sensors?

That would be a good solution, though given the price it doesn't work so well for me.

Get the catted pipes from OBX. For the V8 system, I got both of them for $200. That may sound pricey, but they are high flow, polished stainless steel, and will bolt right in place, no modification required, and after inspection, you can just throw your cat-less mid-pipes back on, save these for next inspection.

I recomend that you get metal core not ceramic core high flow cats, thats what I have and I have never got a check engine light.

Will these fit the v6 headers without any modification, and if so, where did you find them. I couldn't find them for sale online

I got mine from "RacingPartsDepot.com". I did a quick search, and found this http://www.rsaperformance.com/obxexm...FbA7MgodnXUAvQ

The image shows the cats available along with the off-road pipes. The vendor may be able to sell just the cats. Check it out.

You also have an IPF tune, according to your sig. The IPF tune stops listening to the rear O2 sensors, I thought...

When they did the tune I did not tell them to tune out the back 02 sensors.

Tuning out the back O2 sensors might be part of their standard practice. IT was that way for Trifecta for a while. But now you have to go in and turn them off yourself, which I can do on my Trifecta tune.
