It seems to me 12.3 might be a little optimistic, because of what I think the weight will end up being. I'm thinking mid-12s, because I'm sure the power's going to be similar to a C7 and weight around what an ATS is. That's nothing to scoff at.

I think some are comparing hero times to average times.

A LS3 Camaro runs 12.8-12.9 if driven properly (Automatic L99 is 13.0). Best time for a LS3 is 12.5, that doesn't make it a 12.5 car though.

Others are claiming the Challenger is a 12.2 time, that's best time. They are are 12.6 cars.

I bet we will see a "best time" of 11.8 from a bone stock A8 Camaro, the 8 speed C7's have done 11.3's and 11.4's, but are usually high 11's.

12.3 will be the average from a good run in good air.

I like where you're head's at regarding Hero times. I wasn't even considering A8-times... The faster a car has the potential to go, though, the more difficult it is to get to the potential time. Look at Hellkitties for example. Of course - popular videos are of people who don't know how to drive...

Exactly why I posted the info from Motor Trend. You need to factor out as many variables as possible when making a good guess.

Where do you go where ls3 cars average high 12's? I've never seen a stock one do it. I blame the driver for sure. The auto cars where crippled by having less power. Now add a 8speed auto a lt1 and the same or less weight to the mix. Should have no problem being a 12.4-6 car.

May have been but if it had been 0-100 then that's really bad. I'm guessing it was probably just a pull through the gears with no other purpose than for a audio recording.

7 speed manual or 8 speed auto options... throws gearing perceptions out the window for our cars. Look at the C7 tire height and gears and figure out it's speed in each gear.

Please ...let's not confuse everyone with the LT1 designation either!
I might be willing to compromise on C-SIX.
