Discount Question (USAA & CU)
(Assume the dealer will accept both discounts before posting that most dealers won't accept them.)
1.) Is it correct that you don't have to finance your loan with USAA to get the $750 discount? You get the discount JUST because you are a member? 2.) Is it correct that you don't have to finance with one of the selected Credit Unions on the GM Supplier Pricing website to get the supplier pricing? You get the discount JUST because you are a member? Clearing those 2 questions up will set me straight. Thanks! |

BigBOSS,
I know for certain you are correct on the USAA Discount. You just need to have your USAA Member card or proof of Insurance Card with USAA when you sign your invoice to get the -$750 rebate. Dunno about the Credit Union.... |

I believe the credit union one works the same as the USAA discount. You just need to show the proper paperwork to show that you are a member of the credit union and you will get the discount.
Check out www.gm.com/creditunion for the details.

There is no reason the dealer shouldn't recognize the USAA Discount, they lose no money from doing it since USAA covers the cost.

The USAA is an actual GM Rebate nationally. Just show proof of membership and you get it. This rebate runs through 12/31.
GMS pricing as a credit union member is an authorization code. www.lovemycreditunion.com |

No need to be active duty or retired, just a member of USAA. I am a member and was never active duty, linked in to being a brat, and am getting it when my car gets here. Just bring with you your membership card and that should be good.

you nailed it. However, it is not GMS pricing with the CU code. It was a $250 discount in the Texas region. It may change depending on where you're located. The dealer can pull up all the available incentives based on your VIN and location and you go from there. For the USAA discount, that was $750 and all we needed was our member number. If you let them photocopy your membership card, you're in great shape. I used both on my purchase.
