Black Bowties

Tonight I installed my Phastek vinyl black bowtie overlays. It's fairly easy if you use the heatgun for best results. About an hour total for front and rear.

What's the main difference between a heat gun & a hair dryer?

Temperature, a heat gun can generate enough heat to ignite paper. A hair dryer is not that hot. I actually used a hair dryer but mistyped "heat gun"

Which Bowtie looks better, the matte finish or the gloss finish. My Stripes is Matte Black, would the glossy look look out of place with the Matte stripes.

Same here. Although I spent a little longer than 5 min taping it up.

IMO I would go with the matt black to match your strips. I went with carbon fiber overlays on my bowties and 'SS' emblems to compliment my carbon fiber stripes and like the way it looks with everything all tied together. I also get a lot of great comments on how it looks
