Did I get a good deal?
I bought a SIM 2010 LS with automatic transmission, rally stripes, and 20" factory wheels for $24,825. The reason I ask is there wasn't a clear MSRP because of the wheels being thrown in there. By my quick calculation it should be around 27-28k so I guess I did? I can't help but feel I got screwed on the financing though. I got 60 months with 5.6% APR after putting down 8k. I don't have a credit history because I just got out of college but I co-signed with my dad who has excellent credit.

My check(sp?) that i wrote to the dealership was for ~24,000$
Thats a 1LT RS with the Boston acoustics soundsystem and that's IT! Thats with $1,500 trade in value and I had 16,500 of my own cash leading to a $9,000 loan from my credit union. So that means my monthly payments at 3.49%(and i have perfect credit) are: $163.00 for 60 months... |

Long story.... lol.
I ordered an SS, it got delivered, and I opted out when I went to go pick it up at the dealer and instead got the v6. Why? Because I just drive way too much and I don't want to be at the pumps paying so much for gas. Eventually, I'll get an SS or Z28 maybe. |

What the dealer offered. Do you think going through a credit union will help? Is it too late to do it?

You can ALWAYS refinance your loans with another company...the earlier the better! Simply approach a credit union and open an account there and tell them you want to refinance your car loan. They will pay off the whole amount that you owe and give you a MUCH better rate... |
