GM High Wing Spoiler - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I would like to install the high wing spoiler on my 2012 2LT. The information I have so far is that I can purchase the spoiler for $420.00 color matched to the car. The problem is when you remove the factory spoiler there are holes left in the deck lid that have to be patched up. My local dealer said that they could order me a new deck lid without any holes at all for $475.00 but then it would need to be painted to match the car. I really don't want to start patching up holes in a brand new car but on the other hand paying $420.00 for a spoiler then $475.00 for a new deck lid and then probably another $200.00 to have it painted is a little more than I wanted spend. Any ideas, information, suggestions appreciated.

I'm in the same boat. I am looking for someone locally (with the same color and no spoiler) to trade with. I also plan to visit a couple of body shops this weekend to get a quote on filling the holes and repainting the trunk lid.

I'm thinking about a high wing myself. I currently have the saw tooth or 4-post style they said wouldn't work if you already have the factory 'shortie' which I did. I cheated and just sealed the 4 unused (leftover) holes from orig. and reamed the 2 outside holes for the saw tooth. I'm also going by my bodyshop to see what they would charge to fill ALL the holes and then I'll put the high wing on but I'm sure it will be less than the price of a new deck lid!

I agree. Find someone on here willing to trade, and BeckyD@RodgersChevrolet is AWESOME!! She hooked me up on my spoiler and it was color matched already. I got mine for $150 from her and my dealer wanted $365 or something. Give her a PM shout to see what she can do for ya before going with your dealer.

No, unfortunately it wasn't a high wing. Sorry I should have stated that I just got the factory one that RS and SS come with. Since mine is a 2011 LT I didn't have a spoiler at all. Either way though, PM BeckyD@RodgersChevrolet she is a sponsor on here and see what she quotes you all at. She is AWESOME!! Once again, sorry for not stating mine wasn't a high wing.

I'm sure he is not talking $150 for the high wing spoiler.

Maureen (Who does part sales for Becky) is about the cheapest around and she is charging $446 delievered.

Maybe the lip spoiler, but I don't think you got the high wing for $150.

I got mine from Maureen.

I was able to find an undrilled trunk lid from the local salvage yard in RJT to match the car for $300

Search www.car-part.com and see what you can come up with. You might be surprised at the number of non RS cars that get wrecked from rentals.

Yes you can!! Go right ahead!! Her price really isn't bad. I remember when I went to my dealership getting prices on spoilers they told me a high wing would cost me $680 plus $50 for installation!
