Big, important question—why do you want the LS7?
If you want to perform, then the LS3 can be built to outperform the LS7 or can be replaced with the less expensive, more powerful LSX. If you simply want a 427, then the LS7 makes sense, but it is a very expensive swap. Many dealers can acquire the part, but your best bet is to have an experience performance shop do this work. Right now, Nickey Chicago has a Stage III kit, featuring the LS7 built by Mast Motorsports. The kit is expensive, but you'll never have any need to do any other modifications to enhance your vehicle's performance.

From the factory no. But I believe you can from Nickey Chevrolet. They'll take your SS and dump a LS7 and other performance mods into it. Dig deep, it'll cost you. Post pics when you get one.

Got damn ok was hopeing it would not cost so much. Now about the LSX don't really know very much about this engine all I know is that I guess its one of GM's best performance engines or something like that. How big is it like a 6.6 or something? How much horsepower does it come with standard? Why is it cheaper or better then the LS7? I'm kind of new to GM engines I've been hearing about the LSX but could never really figure out what the big deal is about it please enlighten me. Thx

LS7 should be a factory option.

LS7 Camaro
If you havent yet, contact Nickey Chicago and get all the info. There are different options you may be pleased with. They were on the sponsor list for the Camaro5 Fest in Ga. and have the ability to handle suspension changes you may want.
