Ive had similar issues and have found a couple things that contributed. Did you install it or have it done? Is it a new clutch?

I found that proper spline greasing helps the clutch slide on release.
Hydraulic issue on the clutch master cylinder being too weak for the twin disk
Hydraulic issue where the clutch fluid was getting too hot in the line by the header.
Warped clutch would not slide away fromthe flywheel to allow release.

My understanding on most clutch systems is there is increased pressure plate force based on inertia. Higher speed would create higher clamping force to overcome when pressing in the clutch.

i forgot to mention that Ichanged out the GM transmission fluid to Amsoil which helped on cold shifting. By cold shifting I mean anything below 70 degrees ambient.

I had the trans upgraded and the shifting was terrible prior to fully warmed up. the fluid helped a lot.

How does the fluid look? If it is dark, you should replace with fresh fluid. Search "Ranger Protocol".

A separate clutch fluid reservoir was a help if you do not already have one.

Apologies in advance if you already know about these.
