Actually the Z/28 had already been in production for a year or more when that one off '68 Z/28 was built. Here is a link to some pictures and a brief description, don't know if the car is still around or not.

There is also a true tire paint product. Cant remember the name.... I'll dig up my old thread if you need me to.

Adding raised letters onto the tire would seem to throw the wheel out of balance???

yes, it's still around. It was a no sale at Mecum not too long ago.

After much thought I am bummed to say that the Z/28 will not be in my driveway. It's not because GM failed in any sort of way... It's because its actually more than I wanted. In all honesty it's a little to hardcore to be a DD.

Congrats to GM for creating this beast... I just wish it wasn't so beastly.

I can't believe what I just typed.....
