Cost Paint-Job vs Wrapping.

Hey just wondering how big or difference is cost between getting same black or that Cadillac metallic black on my camaro instead of this basic black or wrapping it in a color of my choice.

I have a S*** ton of damn rock chips under the panels, rear panels, front hood, front bumper.. some on roof ... and i am just sick of this ugliness, some came with it.. But in money $ how much are we talking for same kind of black GM paint job or the Cadillac metallic black or do a wrap. what would be best in the long run?

I've been quoted around $2k give or take to have a whole car wrapped. Now that depends on the kind of wrap, complexity and level of preparation involved. I had my roof and rain rails wrapped for $200. Well worth it in my opinion. I just use some vinyl conditioner and it comes out super clean every time.

I was quoted 2800 today for a full car wrap top of the line vinyl and shop. $3600 with the door jambs and etc.

I been wanting to go with a matte pearl white, but I heard they dont last long as a daily driver.

I spent 380 in materials for the red on my car. Granted it's a two tone and i wrapped it myself. I recommend vinyl for the sheer fact that if some **** scratches it or damages it, it's maybe 50-60 bucks in vinyl to re wrap that panel, or more depending on which panel

That is just sick that you did this yourself! That is awesome! I did my hood, but cannot imagine doing some of the other panels.

Wrapping is a whole lot cheaper but as mentioned, is no where near as durable. On a daily driver, expect to replace most of it every few years.

You must not have priced a full paint job. A good paint job, not a great one mind you, runs about $10k to repaint a whole car. If it's a different color it's recommended that you repaint the door seals, engine bay, and trunk as well and this will typically raise the price by a few thousand.

For a color change paint job done right, you're looking at least $7,000.00.

I'm going with matte pearl white with some carbon fiber trim found another good shop that quoted me 2200 might be even cheaper as they have a tech who takes the car apart so I told him I could do that myself. I had my whole car painted 2 years ago due to some knuckle head body shop cost the insurance 11k to repaint everything.
