[QUOTE=FirstLSK;199770I fought in 2 wars to defend the interests of this country. There is a conscious decision in every purchase that I make as to not sell out America’s economy to foreign countries.[/QUOTE]

Then carrying your logic to it's final conclusion, shouldn't the Camaro be built in the USA and not IN ANOTHER country???

Well if it is, it will be more $$ due to increased labor costs.

but anyways , back to topic. I think the difference in cornering between the mustang and camaro will be very similar to that of camaro and Z.

Weight distrobution is perfect through the corners on the Z, just not in straights, so the car was literaly made for corners, and the manual rev matching means that you can get on the gas alot earlier/faster/more efficient coming out of corners and going through them.

Go research how much $$ from a car purchase goes toward assembly labor vs. corporate. America has been brainwashed with the "global economy" idea that you are supporting the American economy no matter what you buy. Couldn't be farther from the truth.

BTW, what is corporate Nissan Ticker symbol on the American NYSE ???

On topic -- Based on geometry, weight distribution, and power, I think the SS will beat the z in a drag and a road course will depend on the number of tight turns. More tight turns should favor the z, while sweeping turns and straights will favor the SS.

Hmmmm, I say camaro, yes the 370z Starts at 30k, But you guys seem to forget that a 370z with optional equipment to really take on the track, like optional brembos and whatever other options this car will have, will bring the price up to around 40k!! which is corvette territory, At least at 31k The camaro ss performance goodies come standard, not to mention the camaro ss has faaaaaaaaar more potiential at less cost than compared to the 370z. A $500 cam and a tune will get you about 500 hp, Pedders suspensions that will be available. For the tuner crowd to get more power out of the 370z they are going to get a $7k turbo!! Imagine 7k worth of mods to the camaro ss.

So, fastest straight line, 'Maro, best cornering, probably alot closer than you think, call it a tie for now, fastest out of the corner, 'Maro....And what's with that high price?

Ok, I'm pickin at you datsun guys just a bit, I'm sure it's a fine car...As long as you don't go revving on SS Camaro's you should be more than happy with your purchase.
The Nissan isnt going to have enough TQ to throw the tail out? How much do you think you need? A flick of the throttle when your already at that limit will put you over the edge, or trail braking into the corner and powering out of it will do the same affect.
Also I can guarantee you that the Camaro will have more neutral understeer than the Nissan, and the Nissan will be much more toss able.

How would you know when the cars aren't even in the hands of tuners yet????????????????????????????? I love this "got it figured all out already" when there's no real facts to support the argument.
you know, you confuse me... you act like you know what you're talking about at times and then you make some jacka$$ comments like the second one here... are you bipolar? or just stupid? either way, you want to talk $hit to me, PM me... but other than that, keep your stupidity to yourself... or just leave and never come back.

I made my comments based on the past... and the fact that the past Z cars were great in the corners, but not so fast in a straight line... and we're not comparing tuner cars, we're comparing stock for stock... and for STOCK ONLY, we know that the 2010 Camaro SS is fast... in a straight line and on the 'Ring... so my comment still stands: a well driven SS will beat a 370Z around a track... any track... if I'm wrong, I'll admit it... but until something proves me wrong, you dont have any proof that I'm wrong, so shut the hell up and try to keep your ignorant self from quoting me.

9/11 was years ago too... let's all forgive Osama now. That was so long ago!

Some people here are old enough to have lost family members to the pacific conflict in WWII and that's a pretty good reason to avoid their products.

Well-well... how mature are we?????????????? Try asking yourself some of the same questions you posed to me. That'd be time much much better spent. Try not to take out your own personal insecurities on others. A real man figures out how to deal with those things on his own.
