heres a good question for you?
how tall are you? cuz theres a chance you may hit the bottom right edge of the door while getting out if you do this. the camaro does have a long door. im 6', and ive done this before getting out of a friends 3rd gen with lambo doors. its not fun.

There is no such thing as a classy vertical door kit. The fact that the hinge must open both out and up means that it will wobble when open, especially with a coupe with big heavy doors. It's great seeing wobbly doors flying in the air on an SL55. And by great, I mean really tacky. The reason the doors work well on the Countach, Diablo, and Murcielago is because they're designed to lower right onto the rockers and the hinge is mounted on top of the fender, not inside it. Statics demands that the location of the hinge on a normal opening door is NOT a good place to put a sturdy door hinge that is going to have forces placed on it on three axes. This is one of many reasons I will never put a vertical door kit on any car or have much respect for a car with one.

I think it might look kinda cool, honestly.
I saw a Mustang with Lambo-doors...and it was very eye-catching (not the bad way). I certainly won't be doing it for various reasons, funding being one of them. But if you do end up doing this, post up some pics!! |

^That freaking picture is funny beyond words. But yeah. I think lambo doors are cool...a little played out but still cool. What does it for me is when people start putting features on cars that cost more than the car itself THAT is when I know I won't be doing it.

That looks like they broke a hinge driving with the door open. Fugly.
However, it will make mine look even better stock! |

I think that screams....You have too much extra money on your hands to waist..
Now make the doors look like this And you got a much cooler looking car..

There are only a few cars that look ok with lambo doors that didn't come with them from the factory and even fewer that really look good with them. The Camaro isn't really in either of those categories IMO. But if you just love lambo doors it's your car and I'm sure there will be conversion kits.
