Why not tint? With the top down, the windows are down, and you can't see the tint. With the top up, you have tint. There's no possible reason why you SHOULDN'T tint a convertible. Unless you are one of those who rides with the top down and the windows up:(

Tint was the very first mod i did on my 2011 2ss vert. Looks great (ibm with beige top). There was never any question whether I would tint or not. Purchased 6/11/2011

Like "Cam62" says tint was the very first thing I did to my 'vert after I brought it home.In Florida tint was a no brainer for me with a black car. Also mirror bras to save the paint from those pesky "love bugs".I am still thinking about the full front end bra,but I just may not drive the car that much during the heavy love bug season.

Personally, Im quite the opposite and I rather not be seen...If I want to be seen then, well, I will roll the windows down or in your alls case drop top. I have double 5% on the sides and you cannot see in what so ever. Keeps the car very cool inside and since its some new technology tint film, you can see perfectly fine from the inside even at night. If you have a black car or a dark color car then I think its almost a must to get the darkest tint possible. But, thats only my opinon and I dont DD the car.

Sorry about posting in the vert forum but wanted to give you a different perspective.

Of course, tint and have fun.
Any way to know how many Jewel Red convertibles were made like mine?
