Dynomax resonated x-pipe
I was fixing to order the magnaflow 11386 to pair it up to my existing exhaust which is just dynomax race bullets to kill some of the drone/rasp. I came across the Dynomax 17553 ultra flo X. I'm curious how it compares to the magnaflow 11386. They're both 2.5" dual in/dual out with the exception that the Dynomax has a 3" xpipe instead of 2.5". Not sure if this affects sound or performance? Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

i wouldnt think the 3" X would make any difference since it is reduced to 2.25" if using the stock mid pipes. i can tell you the magnaflow resonated x-pipe is very nice tho.

The magnaflow is nice indeed. I'm leaning towards the dynomax since I already have the dynomax bullets and then run 2.5" piping to the bullets. They're both around the same price.

even running 2.5 inch pipe i don't think the 3" X will do much, maybe make it slightly deeper tone but probably not. i run the magnaflow resonated x with no mufflers.

I've thought of the dynomax resonated x pipe myself as I prefer the sound of dynomax vs magnaflow. I say try it! If everyone got the same exhaust this forum would get pretty boring!

Sounds great! Specially that last rev..so you're exact setup is just the magnaflow res x with the stock 2.25" piping along with a muffler delete? I may just order the dynomax to try it out, if I don't like it I can change it to the magnaflow as I already know how it sounds

Because I went back to the muffler delete after having the dynomax VT mufflers for a while, they were just to quiet. But it's different now than it was before. Before I had 2.25 test pipes with no tips for awhile then went to the round magnaflow mufflers and quad tips. The highway drone was horrible, to much for even me. Now I'm just running the magnaflow resonated x pipe to factory resonators then 2.5" piping to the quad tips. Highway drone is way better now but it seems louder than before. Idk maybe the xpipe is just broken in more now, I don't hate it but it does seem louder. |

I noticed you did rear cat delete, does that throw a code? Did you notice a sound improvement?
