E85 plus meth???

Running a Magnuson tvs2300 on top of my 427 with ETP 245 heads. Have been running meth for a few years. No issues. Recently made the switch to E85 and upgraded the fuel system to handle it. Also added an E85 / flexfuel sensor.

Currently have the meth turned off. But noticing the iat's climbing during some hard pulls. Anyone using E85 and still spraying meth?

Pro's vs. con's?

edit.... I am using:

An upgraded intercooler http://www.summitracing.com/parts/afc-80275ndp
An upgraded coolant tank http://www.summitracing.com/parts/mor-63494
Dual spal fans on the upgraded radiator.
I also have a killer chiller system that can also be used. I have seen it make frost on the lines.

I am. It was recommended to me by my builder.

Jennetty started a thread in here and I asked his feedback, he advised against it. ( I'll see if I can find his response.)

You have a small blower on a large engine.

Your limitation is your blower and the size of the intercooler brick the temp will climb simply due to the fact that your overwhelming the intercooler brick.

Move to a Whipple 2.9 and you can pick up 100 RWHP and have lower IAT to boot due to the larger intercooler brick.

Distribution can be a problem spraying through a blower.

Not desiring to hijack this thread. Just a quick question. Is it the meth that causes distribution problems or would nitrous do the same? What kind of distribution problems can we expect with a 200-250 wet shot nitrous through a TVS2300 assuming tune is spot on and motor built to handle power.? I was under the impression we would get a fairly even distribution to the cylinders. Is this not the case?

The only way to quantify the distribution would be to install 8 O2 sensors one in each header tube.

Liquids need time to turn from a liquid to a vapor to a gas before entering the cylinder, there are so many variables it would be impossible to predict.

Dose it not help to seal the rotors or cool the air charge ?

Can you explain what kind of distribution problem the blower causes? I know the thread was about meth but would nitrous be any different. I have been spraying approx. 175-200 shot through my current TVS setup but in the process of a new LSx build. What problems does spraying through the TVS pose? I am not trying to argue the point but really would like to know.

I understand that with the required fuel that the nitrous requires there must be some point of saturation where the wet shot fuel/air mix has to come into play as the blower/manifold was designed for air only. Could this lead to an unforeseen problem? I will be throwing lots of cash at this next build and planned on even more nitrous.
