CAI Sound In Single Digit Weather?

i have had my CAI on my car for some time now... today i got on the throttle hard and the cai sounded almost like rasp and i know its not my solo performance exhaust system i hear it coming from under the hood where the cai is. it has not done this before but yesterday and today have been the coldest its been since iv had it 10-14 degrees with wind chill in single digits and you figure moving at 50+ mph the air will probably be even cooler? i know that the colder the air is the louder the car is which is normal with cai but this sound just has me going crazy. your thoughts and experience is appreciated thank you.

I’m glad you like the sound of your CAI. I like mine too. But wind chill is something only related to humans. If it’s 14 degrees outside, your car is feeling 14 degrees at ANY speed. 0-200+mph. (unless you’re moving through the atmosphere at rocket reentry speeds whereby friction from the air would melt your camaro) You on the other hand, may perceive it to be colder than it actually is at speed. But not your CAI or engine. Just sayin...

The only thing I miss with my Vararam is that intake noise.

I have fun though using DashCommand to see my IAT's while driving.

When moving I am 1-2 degrees above ambient air temp, which is freakin' awesome.
