I think we all agree that we want the Z28 to be more than the 1LE. Am I the only one that's extremely happy with the way the 1LE reviews are going so far? Not many expected it to be so competitive with the Boss LS. With comparison tests still left to do are there any doubters left? Not me, I believe it can hang with everything short of the ZL1 and maybe GT500.

So far it has exceeded my expectations. I do think that it would make a great starting point for our Z/28.

From what we know so far it's a home run. Now enhance the power (LS7), braking (6 pot & 2 piece rotors) and aero (ZL1) and we have a brilliant Z28, the best ever. GM should make the Z28 if for no other reason than to show that they can make a naturally aspirated 3,900 lb. car kick total a**!

(and to make $$$$$ as well)

What would the RS package add other than the halo head lights?

HID's, which I find unnecessary. They need to add to the RS package. At this point just give me the Halo's and the RS designation.

So it's just the head lights then? And the badges?

Would anyone have been satisfied if the 2013 1LE had been badged Z28 instead?

No. The 1LE is an upgrade to the SS. It is not a stand alone model like the Z/28.

As good as the 1LE is, it is no more a Z28 than the ZL1 is. The 1LE is close, it just needs more effort put into it. It would have to have the 6 pot brakes and it would have to have more horsepower. It should also be expected to have it's own bodywork, not just a vinyl hood and splitter. It should also have things that we didn't expect, something to raise the bar.

This question has been asked more times than I can remember, and the answer is still no. It's not the name so much as what the name means. And in that regard what else could it be named?

IMO The very reason the 1LE is not what was originally shown is proof that the 5Gen Z28 will be built.
