Adams Ultra Plush Drying Towel Review
I happened to get one of these towels in a Mystery Box I purchased back in Dec 2018.
I know, I need a Mystery Box like I need a hole in my head, but this was my X-mas present to myself. Having so many microfibers already, I was still excited to receive this, since I'm a microfiber junkie. The towel itself is 29" x 36", so it's on the larger side, it has a medium pile on one side, and no pile on the other. I only used the side with the pile. My car has very little water on it after a pooling rinse, so if your car is soaked with water when you dry it, this review may not be for you. Absorbency - 10 of 10---This towel absorbs water as good as any towel I've ever used. It's on par with the Microfiber Madness Wave Rider. I used it with the drag method, blotting method, and wiping. One pass was all that was needed to completely remove water. Excellent. Safety on Paint - 10 of 10---I used it for 12 washes so far, and have no drying induced marring I can see. Paint was checked with a swirl finder light. Excellent. Durability - 9 of 10---I couldn't give it 10 of 10 for the fact that when drawn across badges, the fibers can be easily pulled out. I have other towels that don't have this issue. But this isn't a really big deal, just blot these areas instead of wiping. The towel hasn't lost any of the absorbency it had when new. Very Good. Cost - 5 of 10---While I believe this is one of the best drying towels available, $34.99 is a bit steep. As mentioned I got it in a Mystery box, so my cost was less. If you find it on sale and use a discount code, and can pick it up for around $25.00, that's a more reasonable price compared to the other high quality towels on the market. Somewhat expensive. Adams actually has a 2 pack of these on sale for $44.99 right now, and with a 15% discount, that would be $38.24 for two, or $19.12 each, which is a much better value, and actually a good price for a towel of this quality. One other aspect I like of this towel is that it's not hard on my washing machine during the spin cycle. I have a couple other towels that hold so much water, my machine cannot fully balance, creating excessive wear/tear on my washer. Now I just saw that Adams has a mystery trunk organizer on sale right now, but I'm going to have some restraint and not purchase one (or will I?). Anyway, I hope this review is helpful to anyone who is thinking of getting this towel.

I am also a microfiber towel junkie. I purchased these also and I am very pleased with them as well.

I would also say the Rag Company Avalanche Drying towel, but for some odd reason they cancelled this towel, wish I had known when they were on sale for $9 each, would have bought more than 3 of them. The Autogeek Big Blue, and the MM Dry Me Crazy XL hold ridiculous amounts of water, but washing machines beware, these are too heavy when soaked to balance. I'd get these in the small or medium size instead of the large. The Rag Company Everest 1100's are good as well. Waiting to catch the Rag Company Twist and Shout on sale to give it a try.

Thanks for your reply, I wasn't going to get the Mystery Trunk Organizer, but somehow in my sleep, I managed to log onto Adams website and buy it!
Maybe I will get lucky and pick up another one of these towels! Or if they have another one like this still in stock. I kind of doubt it though. 9:40 of the video.

Your welcome Chris. How about hooking me up with one of those "Pan the Organizer" mystery trunk organizers? J/K

Thanks for the reply. They have 2 of these right now for $45.69 shipped after discounts, this is a decent price for this high quality towel IMO.

Great review Joe! I have these towels and agree they are fantastic. Pricey yes, but terrific.

I bought a few of these quite a while ago when they firsat came out.
I kept looking at them for a tag that said they were made by Hoover since they suck up water so well. |
