Chevy Equinox

It's about time to upgrade the family vehicle, and my mom is thinking about getting an Equinox LTZ. I am just looking for some opinions and thoughts on the Equinox.

The color choices are between Summit White (my favorite) and Silver (the color of her current car). Also what would be better, 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive?

After having talked with Becky Doyle (BeckyD@RodgersChevrolet) she is most likely going with a Chevy.

Any feedback is appreciated, thanks!

Equinox is among GM's best-selling products for a reason.

As for FWD vs. AWD, it just depends on A) how good you are at driving in snow, and B) if you're willing to take the fuel economy hit that AWD brings.

Thanks!

How much is the fuel economy difference between the 2?

my mom's got an '05 or '06 (can't remember now).... its FWD, the 2010+ are SOOOO much better. Her's is a V6 and its got a decent amount of power.... just wish it was AWD with all the snow we've had this winter.... FWD sucks in snow!

Yeah, She definitely will get a V6, and most likely an AWD, because we do live in Michigan. Sounds like fully loaded is the only way to go!

I personally like the 2LT better..... I don't like all the stuff the LTZ has (like that power rear door.... just lift it up!?) Still get the fog lights etc (that those plastic covers just look wrong). Her's has leather and after 40K miles it was cracking pretty badly... I haven't driven a new one.... but take it to a tight parking lot and turn it around.... my mom's takes 500 feet to do a u-turn . Not sure if the new ones are any better

Yeah, theres nothing wrong with it, but my mom WILL NOT get cloth, she has to have leather seats, and I kind of like that lift option. If my hands are full, that might come in handy, but thanks for the input!

its just kinda annoying to me.... I used to ride with this guy that had a Honda mini van that you pull the handle and wait 20 seconds while the side doors open.... I could just do it myself faster
