F35 cam issue
I recently Had a f35 tsp cam installed on my car and tuned dyno netted 481 the car also has tsp 1 7/8 long tubes cat delete h pipe and flow master mufflers still has factory air box my issue is that the car feels like it may actually be a little slower in the top end I have not been able to hit same too speeds as I did before the cam install so is there other mods required with this size of cam to get the full benefit out of it I use the car as a dd and for roll racing and it performs great driving on the street and in the low end any advice will be appreciated

the f-35 is a cam not fan.... and I am sure the stock air box does not help, feel is subjective and what ever top seed your trying to hit you hit before the cam??? The computer will adjust and pull timing for various things like bad fuel BTW.... or lack of good air..... And recently having installed the cam on most likely not new engine you may want to clean the crap out and make sure you have a good catch can, check and make sure some other things others do as mods, and check your plugs which should be new and basically anything disconnected and reattached during the install. Good Luck.

Calm down now. I’m sure autocorrect changed cam to fan

Thats good power with the stock airbox. Why do you still run it? What cam did you have before the F35?

Given the size of the cam I would have to say your restrictions are air flow. That cam will flow a lot of air, you need to properly feed it and the stock intake will not fit the bill. I think you’d be pleasantly surprised at the overall gain. You’ll feel justified in the end with the money you’ll spend.

With 481 rwhp on tap I am not sure what he is talking about, does not sound like any air restrictions to me. My car has 485 and it hauls ass.

If you were running the factory cam and switched to a new one and got 481 rwhp and the car feels like it does not go as fast something is wrong. What, I dont know LOL

481 and not as fast? Are you only revving to 2500? Hope it all works out for you!

I am thinking he is not pulling it above 5k rpm + and/OR the loss of low end torque is making the car 'feel' slower.
Remember, a lot of people don't rev these cars out. If you are one of the people that spends nearly all your time between idle-4k rpm, how much benefit are you going to feel from a high lift cam? You will probably notice the loss of bottom end more than anything.

To clarify more the car has a big difference below 4K but after that it feels like a stock car that needs an oil change and I will run it to 6500-7000 when racing that’s where I’m seeing the fault is the top end when I’m racing not in town driving

Should be the other way around, should come alive after 4k, pull harder and rev faster.
