Want to cat my LT Headers - advice please?

Hey guys, I'm looking to bolt some catted mid pipes onto my 1 7/8" LT headers. It's not that I'm worried about emission testing, but I don't want to run the risk of being caught catless on the road.

I was looking at TSP catted mid pipes since I know that they will fit my setup, but I'm wondering if the 200 cell cats they offer will be enough to noticeably reduce the carbon smell enough so that it would be harder to tell that I'm running an illegal setup on the road if I get stopped.

The smell is pretty obvious, but even though I do not live in a state like California where you would be crucified for running a catless setup, I still don't want any trouble while maintaining close to this amazing sound/performance increase since I'm aiming towards a 500rwhp N/A goal with a cam install next on my list, among other things in the near future.

Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated, since most of the threads I've looked at seem to be people who could literally care less if they're caught catless on the streets.

The off-road mid pipes will work in fl. They look like cats and Unless you fill morally obligated to run cats. No one will ever ask or look. True enough it's illegal to remove the cats but it's also illegal to drive 56mph in a 55 mph zone. Drive on.....

I could be wrong but once your original cats are removed for non oem cats (high flow or offroad pipes) its could be construed as illegal. Maybe someone else here can verify that.

200 cell cats will cut the smell a lot. I've got 100 cell cats now and the difference between being catless and catted was noticable.

I just went through emissions testing in MD and I passed. Supposedly MD has some tough emissions testing...

I bought them right from the manufacturer "GESI". They are a 5 minute drive from my place in Ontario Canada and the owner is an old friend.

I know they make them for and ship directly to Kooks so you can buy them from them. I know Kooks even stamps their name on them and then marks them up a massive amount !
(They only cost me $500 CDN for the pair, cost to make them)
