Airbags are only around 600 each, brand new, from the dealer. Where folks get these "airbags cost 2500 each" crap is beyond me. Headliner is around 350 new. Used curtain bags go for less than 200 each. Clock spring 40, 150 to reset the module and rebuild the belt tensioners, 250 for a used driver bag, looking at around 1300 or less to finish the interior with used parts. Core support is less than 300 new (GM), you will need to straighten or replace the left upper rails (I don't care what the ad says). Suspension may be tweaked, I would estimate around another 3000 in parts and paint to fix the body. So close to 4,500 if you did the work yourself and got a good deal on paint. Its an easy fix, and would make a nice car when finished, but you could buy a repaired prior salvage car for less than what you'd have into it. What I'm getting at is the car is overpriced by 5-6,000. Salvage SS's go for around 20,000 fixed.

You cannot get the upper frame rail and core support to be TRUE without it being on a frame puller. It doesnt need to be pulled, but frames have measuring posts to install on them to get the car absolutely true. Without it, The parts may not fit right or fit with ease once you install them. No one has a frame at their house unless you're a collision repair specialist and work from home.

Worst idea ever. Any idea what your insurance rates would be if all salvage cars were parts only? Repairables keep auction prices higher, your (already too high) premiums lower. Most states already have "parts only" stamps for the really banged up stuff tho, if that makes you feel better.

There is nothing wrong with a properly repaired, prior salvage vehicle. Especially this car, which should probably never been knocked on the head anyway.

Bought and repaired a salvage vehicle before. I will tell you to pretend you never saw this and walk away from it. It will be worth less when you go to sell it if you can find someone that will buy it. Always more wrong with it than you think. Save your money and buy one with nothing wrong with it.

If the INS CO totaled it out the damage is greater than 3/4 of the NADA value of the car. This car needs to be stripped and parted out it ain't worth fixing.

people don't realize, that's why insurance companies total vehicles at 70% of replacement value. they know once you start tearing them apart your going to find more. if they fixed up to 100% then most times the repair costs would exceed the replacement value.

There is frame damage on the front.. That is gonna cost a lot on its own. Not including headlights, 1/4 panels, steering wheels, airbags and pressurized tanks (not cheap by the way..), paint, air intake, water bottle. I'd say $20K easy
