Got the fuse pull going tonight so I can have a little fun tomorrow. The gas I got seemed to be a little off and my kid even noticed that it didn't have the punch it did yesterday. Should be fun. The family is leaving town and I am home alone stuck working and having fun.

I think a lot of the rework and multiple top replacements is caused by a technician at the dealership not really knowing what they are doing. This guy pointed out all of the little things about the top design that cause problems. He seemed to have the experience and knowledge to do the job right the first time.
We're happy to hear that everything is going well with your newly installed top. Please feel free to update us with any issues you may have!

Noting that the Recall end date is 2014, I'm afraid to take the car in for this TSB right now. At least until my dealer has done another one.

My '01 Vette goes in for a rear axle seal tomorrow and he says, "We haven't done one of those for years...I hope we still have someone familiar with the problem."

I'd better not wait too long for the #12052. Might not be anyone left familiar with Camaros.

Are there other dealers in your area? If so call around until you find one that has done a few. Maybe then you won't have to wait.

Most dealers don't want to be bothered with out-of-warranty, 10+ year old, specialty cars. I'll find someone... someday... somewhere... somehow.

New cars aren't a whole lot easier to get fixed right.

I was talking about your Camaro and the top TSB. You must have a piss poor dealership. That's why I said to call around and find another one that knows what they are doing. There are good dealerships out there, you just need to do your homework and find one.

Enjoy your cars and keep an eye on the tops. If a problem arises, get it addressed asap.
Question: I'd be interested to know if the top design implemented in February is the same as the current design. I forgot, was it tramtwo who did that nice summary in another thread that compared the 6/27/2012 retrofit kit to the current 2012 tops and how they are extremely similar, tension cables and all? I suspect the Feb 2012 tops may be slightly different. Or it took until Feb 2012 until 6/27/12 to create the retrofit kit based on the success of the Feb fix. Would be nice to get a summary of the revisions and what they fix. Maybe Ashley can supply that. Brandon seems to have moved on to greener pastures. But then again, I seem to remember other C5 members complaining about rub marks on post Feb 2012 builds that the retrofit kit fixes. Bottom line, I'm leaning towards the fact that the current design and retrofit kit are a 3rd revision.
