We removed the shipping supports using my new best friend, Mr. Dremell tool. We sanded the edges smooth after cutting the straps. Once we removed the supports we were able to see just how crappy of a paint job we had on our hands. the paint would just peel off like a sticker.

One last shot of the stock front fascia. Had some good times together. Please be careful when working under your car! Take the time to use jack stands and use them properly.

We chose to remove the wheels and fender liners to remove the front fascia. It's not necessary but it sure did make the test fitting easier. You will be making a lot of tweaks and adjustments during the test fit so you need to be able to get back there easily.

I got caught up with working on the bumper and didn't take as many detailed photos as I would have liked to. During the test fit we discovered Garage Junkies cut off some of the mounting tabs that are used to mount the factory grille.

Luckily I planned on using the phantom grille. We drilled holes every four inches on the top and bottom of the phantom grille so we could bolt it onto the fascia. I am very happy with look of the grille on this fascia. Nothing like a thunderstorm to come along in the middle of a project.

Now time to reinforce the lower lip. We cut and bolted angle iron on the lip itself. Then we cut flat iron, drilled holes into it, and bolted it into the factory hole from the previous bumper and the angle iron.

We sent the bumper off to be painted. In the meantime we painted all the hardware flat black.

Got the bumper back from paint and now time for final install. We mounted the phantom grille, fog lights, mail slot scanner, and hide away plate holder. Also installed the led switchback turn signals. We wired the fog lights into the factory harness. There is a picture of the kit we bought at Autozone. We dressed all of the wiring up with conduit to make a nice, clean install. This project was very stressful at times but I am proud to say I did it with the help of a good friend. I love the way my car looks now.
