Pedders bushings.............install.....
Swapping my bushings slowly but surely. I guess I'll end up changing them all soon.
As I get to each one, I'll shoot some vid in case anyone wants to see how I did it. I'll just update here as I go. But here's a little trick I learned from Pete at Pedders to get the bushings out. I made sure I got the right length bolt and the perfect size catch to be able to do the ones on the spindle/knuckle. May be helpful. I have no video editing program so all I could do is use YouTubes options and but them together. I'll try and make it shorter later. |

i used some 3/8" ready rod, and a few nuts/washers and the holesaw. removed factory bushings intact.

I got it because it was the perfect size to use while doing it on the spindle. Plus, I didn't have a socket big enough and a socket that big cost more that then holesaw. haha It just gets tight on the car like that. I had to find something that would fit in the tight spot. |

1 1/2 inch holesaw? Worked pretty good! The fire vid scared me

Something easier to use and wont ruin the hole saw is iron pipe and some washers. Use a screw on clean out with a hole drilled in it and same idea you had with the holesaw.

I actually looked for some pipe but didn't want to cut it and had to buy a length. It was easier and quicker at the time to just buy the 5 dollar hole bit. Down on the spindle it's just really tight. Had to get the exact right sizes. The method is the same.

I agree with you completely. In my area I can get very short sections of pipe with threads on the ends. I used the pipe method when I rebushed my old fiero. Never thought of using the hole saw. It is a really good idea though.

I used a pair of bearing buddy's for a trailer and took out the grease fittings and put some washers in side with a snap ring. it fits perfectly over the stock bushings.
