2009 Gt500

I have a freind buying a 2009 GT500 just base options for $35k new. I was wondering if anyone has ran into any of these on the road or a drag strip. I am planning on getting an SS cause im not sure if ill ever get a z28. I just would like to have a good race w/ him on the strip.

( I do not condone street racing)

How is your friend getting for $35K when that's lower than even the invoice price?

That's a phenomenal deal! Your friend found a bargain.

As far as racing is concerned, the GT500 will win, but you can catch up with some help. I would encourage you to invest in long-tube headers and an exhaust before trying to race him.

I'd throw a good CAI on there as well.

It should be a good race.

Invoice is something like maybe $41000? I don't even see used GT500s going for $35,000.

Maybe the friend is getting torn a new one on the back end with the interest rate or something. Either that or the friend is getting a Shelby GT?

$39K is the best deal I was aware of anyone scoring for a new 08/09. $35K would be amazing.....

The 2008 GT500 I found here locally had 9800 miles on it. It was completely stock and it had a sticker of $37,900. It booked at 41k.

Yea my friends dad is a special friend of the ford dealer's owner. The dealer apparently has 4 requests for 2010 Gt500 which they are marking around 6-7k over sticker. But they can't recieve any 2010's until their last 09 is gone. I should have bought and resell on ebay.

Metro Ford had 2 Gt500 08 and a 09. They let the 08 go for 36k(friend bought it) and the 09 Vert is currently at 38k. Deals are there..as they say, Money talks Bull* walks. Well money and decent credit now days.

Wait, wait, older GT500's for under $40k? This is un-heard of. Someone was just trying to argue with me the other day on this forum that you couldn't get a gt500 for basically the price of a new Camaro 2ss. I guess you can't.

/sarcasm off.

The GT 500's are awesome casr -- agreed. However, let's not forget that these are already supercharged. You can supercharge the Camaro and be neck and neck.
