34 HP & 17 tq. Not the claimed gain for torque but not to shabby. I too wonder what we'll be paying for this.

The humidity and temperature are quite different between the two runs. Plus the torque is shifted up for the entire K&N run. I'm sure it is a nice intake as all K&N products are I just think the dyno runs are sort of strange.

Those are SAE corrected numbers so that's what's the correction factor is for, plus they have the torque on a different graph than hp where normally they displayed on the same graph. I would like to see the A/F for both runs.

The real question (holds true for all CAI testing) is was the ECT and IAT2 the same or similar between the two runs to get a real back to back comparison? I mention this because when I dyno'd mine bone stock it picked up 24 rwhp (511 vs 535) and 10 ft-lbs of torque just by letting it cool down.

I appreciate your comments on how much IAT can affect torque and horsepower both through the ECM detecting knock and pulling timing and a lower density charge.
The SAE corrections which I mentioned are sometimes used as dials instead of factual conditions to manipulate dyno curves.

This and the Roto Fab both looks sweet as they have CF construction and put up good numbers without a tune. The K&N looks like it produces a little more HP but I will wait to see the price before making a decision. I contacted K&N about this product and they said it's not yet available but it should be sometime in January

I'm going with either this one, or the roto-fab. CAI is no longer an option for me.

I am going to get a CAI and probably a crank pulley but stay within factory tune once my car comes out of hibernation. So I always wonder why the car does not come with a CAI from the factory as the gains are pretty good. The gt500 has one from factory.

You are looking at the peak numbers. Down lower it does look like better torque gains. They should be more specific and say 40ft/lbs at 4000rpm or something, not 40 ftlbs peak.
