Everything the same, there should be less than 10 HP between the best and the worst intake out there. I have no clue who your tuner is, but that is honestly the first place I would look as I think the tune may play a role in this also. With that much in mods, the MAF should be recalibrated, and the trims cleared/adjusted to make a real comparison. Also, the car would need to be driven some.
And thats the whole reason I wanted to get the tune. To recalibrate the MAF. Look I know it seems I have an answer for everything but trust we tried everything. Yesterday I reinstalled the Roto-fab just for the hell of it. Its just not all that what it is hyped up to be

I will say when I swapped my ADM race intake for a NewEra OTR intake I had to play with the tune. Well hope you get it fixed but I just hate for you to go through all that trouble to keep a very poor designed intake. Best of luck.
Thanx man, Ive pretty much gave up on it. I swear Ive tried everything! I put a k&n filter on it just for shyts and giggles. No luck!

Exactly. I would stand by Roto Fab any day, it's a great intake. I will be buying one for my new car shortly.

I love my k & n Blackhawk it's the same filter as gm uses for the z28 correct. I really doubt the hate people have is founded in or grounded in fact. I love the black hawk way more than others I've had.

I had the carbon fiber K&N before my car was built and it was light weight.
It looked nice and did a great job.
I had methanol added and they didn't want to go through the carbon fiber tube do to how thin the walls were. They installed a Roto-Fab set up and it is really nice as well.
the Roto-Fab has a hydro dipped carbon fiber finish and looks cleaner.
The Roto-Fab filter is quite a bit bigger then the K&N.
Both are great filters.

In the end , to only real proof is to have an independent test done on the same car on the same day and then back it up with a 1/4 miler run on each. That would be a real world test and settle this once and for all . A brand new K&N and a brand new Rotofab both picked at random from a vendor would be used . And if they do that test I am giving 8 to 5 the Rotofab beats the K&N . Any takers ?

Having installed countless Roto-Fab intakes, we have a hard time with this loss in HP too. I agree with the others that there seems to be an undiscovered variable at play here. Our experience with Roto-Fab has always been top notch and the dyno numbers have always indicated a different result than you are describing.

Please feel free to call or email us anytime with questions.

All the best,
