Finally got the car back

Had a catastrophic transmission failure about 2 months ago. It was a big ordeal because come to find out the original owner locked his tune and refused to unlock it for us so we had no way to plug into the car and see what was happening. A new transmission, new ECM, and a trip to my local Chevy dealer to have base tunes installed later and the car went up on the dyno today to be finished.

Why would the original owner not help you out and give you the code to unlock t original owner not help you out and give you the code to unlock tune. Makes no sense

No clue, he claims that since it's a custom tune he wants to keep it locked, I guess so nobody else can copy it. Not like it really matters since these cars have been out for awhile now. Personally I think he just wanted it to stay locked since the transmission went out in case the tune was related to the failure even though there is no way he could be held accountable or that I would even want to.

edit: exactly^
