I'm about to leave on a 4000+mile trip from GA to the Northeast. Hmmm, which car should I take: Ford Contour 1999, Honda Accord 1993, Camaro 2010?...A no brainer really - I don't mind putting miles on my Camaro at all, I'm so looking forward to that trip

It will deffinetaly be an amazing road trip with the camaro &photography, but.... MILEAGE, hmmmmm. I personally like to look after "Smokey", so i would say take the Rav4, or just rent out a nice car which will be affordable.
P.s. All the best on your road trip, enjoy |

You got the car to enjoy it, DRIVE the sucker!! Rack those miles up, you already lost $5000 the moment you drove it off the lot. These cars are meant to enjoy and they love the wide open road with nice tight twisties in between. Enjoy the beast the hours of driving you will do need to be enjoyed and as you drive that Rav4 around, you'll be wishing inside that you had taken the Camaro. Toys are meant to be played with, PLAY WITH IT!

The Camaro is one of America's greatest automotive achievements, and it's meant to see America. If your hesitant about racking up too many miles - make a commitment to one long road trip a year. I have kind of made that deal with myself. Once and a while, I drive around Texas and surrounding states for work. That chore is assigned to my SUV and those trips aren't meant for my enjoyment - but provide the income for my enjoyment. My Camaro SS is my 'weekend car' and good for a nice 'long' road trip at least once a year.

I never understand the people who buy these cars and just throw them in a garage and let them sit like it'll be worth more later having not being driven? Not saying that's you man just some of the comments on here seem to suggest not putting any miles on the car. GM spent millions to design the car to be driven, for a long time, so drive the heck out of it! I just got mine less than a month ago and I have over 1600 miles on it. It's been from Ft. Worth to Austin an back and to Cameron and back in that time, about 600 miles. If you bought it to be your DD, don't worry about the miles :-)
