do lwat makes you feel good, either put the REGULAR oil in that is recommended or go with Mobil1 or any of the good synthetics. I have a 2LT and I also have a addy STS that has the same engine, Caddy recommends the Mobil1 for our engine, so that is what I am putting it it.

You'll get a bunch of different answers from different people, but bottom line is synthetic oil is proven to protect an engine better in the long run. The SS comes stock with Mobile 1 but other cars I've owned that came with standard oil, I switched after 5-7K miles. Mobile 1 is great... if you don't mind spending more, Royal Purple and Amsoil are both good too.

thanks everyone looks like the synthetic is they way to go and from what i have been reading its about 6 qt of oil just wonder how much it would be at a dealer... i have heard that the v8 takes 7 to 8 qt of oil and it was 200 for an oil change witch is crazy..

I buy my Mobile1 by the case at Costco... It's about 30 (ish) bucks for 6 quarts. Changing oil yourself isn't too hard... I've been doing it for years. Get a friend to help you if you've never done it. Doing it yourself you're looking at 35-50 dollars (for a v6) per change with filter.
