Do you get people showing off their POS cars to you?

Let me explain the title - I'm at a stoplight yesterday, zoning off into my own world when I hear someone revving their engine beside me. Some guy is revving the engine on his Honda Civic and staring at me. I just stared at him. And of course when the light turned green he took off I guess as fast as a four cylinder can go. But I didn't even bother.

What has anyone else seen that can be classified as "pathetic"?

No need to judge, if they do, that's on them. Easier to ignore and take off at a very normal pace rather than risk a ticket or accident trying to shame someone.

Best one I had was a guy in an Echo with a fart cannon revving the $hit out of the 2 gerbils under the hood. Yeah he kicked my A$$.....

Yeah, taking that bait is lose- lose: If you win a street race against a car like that, big deal... you just beat a POS. But, in the off- chance that the other guy wins, well, that's even worse. So, you lose either way.

Sort of like arm wrestling a nine- year- old girl. There's no glory in victory... and, if you lose, dang. The shame.

When ever I get a Honda Blow-By on the road or the car next to me at a light hard launches, i just think to myself "Man, they really showed me who's boss." And then I keep on driving.

I get it all the time when I had my hard top, not so much with the soft top.
One thing I used to do when I was younger and had my 68, there would be idiots like that challenging me at stop lights, I would just do some quick revs back at them and then they would think I wanted to race........then when the light turned green they would take off squeeling there tires and rattling their fart cans and 80% of the time there would be a cop nearby monitoring traffic, the idiot gets their ass pulled over, I would then drive by them waving at them and smiling, even give them the thumbs up for a job well done......

Some trucks (especially diesel) will give you a run for your money lol. Especially on a stock Camaro.

Modified Camaro... depends on the truck lol.

Sent from somewhere on the road.

My '82 Camaro Berlinetta had 104 HP. I was beaten by a bicyclist with one leg, an old lady in a Metropolitan Nash (who I don't even think was racing me), and by a Winnebago towing another Winnebago. Those were not good days for the Camaro, and my 104 HP was not even the weakest engine offered that year (the Iron Duke four banger didn't even reach triple digit HP).

^ My first Camaro was an '82 Berlinetta, also with the 2.8 V6. It was slow but mine sure ran smooth. I also really liked the looks of the Berlinetta.
