Glad that I and everyone on here helped and are helping to bring an American car company back.

The ownership situation won't change until there is a profit. Step one has been accomplished.

As much as I dislike this president, I nor anyone else can put an anti-obama bumper sticker on their GM car. It would be hypocritical.

A> I don't put stickers on my vehicles.
B> But if I did...I have a 100 reasons I could easily sport an anti Obama sticker. GM bail out and the way the company was divided up being one of them.

I can see why you are pissed. Your H3 resale value fell through the floor after GM dumped the brand. However, no bailout, then no Camaro, no GM revival.

I heard on the radio today that Chrysler's sales in May was up 33%, Ford 22%, and GM 17%..

Thats great news IMO.

I find it very distasteful, and incredibly ignorant of ALL the "facts", that Rattner would even bring up "Mission Accomplished"... In NEITHER applicable case is/was that, in fact, a worthy comment...

As to his self-aggrandizing op-ed piece, I sure hope he didn't suffer a rotator cuff injury, reaching around and patting himself on the back...

The "report card", to this point, is "encouraging", but there is MUCH "to do", yet...

Overall, "Improvement Required" would be appropriate.

you'd think they wouldn't when their jobs were guaranteed before. . .the union had no right to ask for a stake in the company when they already did have a stake. Their jobs would have went bye bye if gm had completely went under. don't you think that isn't enough of a stake in the company? power is all the union wanted, or union head. . .

unions use to serve a purpose. now they can bring more harm then good.

I am glad is seems the big 3 are improveing. I would rather see them stay around vs more imports flooding the market and thriveing.

The UAW as a stakeholder serves many useful purposes...including their now-necessary interest in future share value...which will only happen with labor harmony and sustained Company profit$. How else will their obligation to fund the medical program occur?
