milage on stock camaro is actually awesome

I been driving my car for 1300 miles now..results
nyc high traffic driving including burnouts and fast accelerations light to light + 11 mpg

highway driving, non stop with ac on @60 mph = 63 mpg !!!!!
highway driving sun roof and all window open, ac off = 67 mpg !!!
highway driving @ 80 mph, with sum full throttle pushes up to 130 mph = 62 mpg

this is amazing for a car that is v8 and has the power and weight that we have...kudos to the gm team, they did their homework...so now i dont feel bad, when i pay 50 bucks every 3 days.... on my hemi 300c, i got half that highway milage, and in launches i got maybe 6-8 mpg in the street...18 gallons go me 120 miles...with a 5.7 liter, and this 6.2 l gets me over 225 easy with 15 gallons...amazing

Well, the AC on these is unlikely to affect MPG. The % draw is too low. However, the SS car wont get even mid 20s on the highway much less 60s.

What I mean gentlemen is if u reset the mpg meter on the cars at speed u see what u can get...now when u get like 28 mpg in highway its an average of gas over time.....so if stopped in traffic the mpg goes down quickly...just try what i did and u will see....in other words reset the mpg meter at 30 mph...then go to 6th gear and run str8 without traffic...it shows 60+ mpg...just telling ya what i saw...and i did this for 30 mins ...which technically is about 30 miles at 60 mph. when i hit the street i reset and i was getting around 16 mpg driving normal with little traffic under the same test...so please any1 comment on thougths.
