have you experienced any rattling, shaking, vibration, sounds, etc from it? Hard acceleration and under normal load?

not yet... but its only been hours.
i did read in other posts about noises.
one guy recommended macking sure the jam nut was tight.
so when i installed mine i kept that in mind.
but i will post if i do here any later......
i would recommend making sure the dust boot underneath is on correctly, that would let some noises in..

You won't be dissapointed. It is an excellent piece of CnC work. I love my Barton Shifter. I keep switching off between using the black retro billet cue ball and the pistol grip shifter. I had experienced a slight harmonic when I first installed it - then found that I did not fully tighten the 1 inch jam nut to the stick. That fixed it!!! No Vibration or harmonics whatsoever! Dave at Barton also provides very good customer service. Great product. Great Company. Can't say enough good things about Barton Industries.

Now THAT is a beautiful picture......wonder if Hurst is listening to the complaints about the noise??? Found one for sale on here with only 75 miles put on it.....for that kind of money and the Hurst name, I am speechless. Still undecided about which one though........

i did play around today on a remote road... i only heard some light noise under hard... very hard takeoffs... (dam this car is fast !!!!!) it was a kinda mechanical buzz ?? i really dont no how to explain. but i didnt hear it under normal driving. it really was no big deal in my opinion. it was nothing that made me think anything was wrong. and i still think that the short throw makes shifting way better and loads more fun....

Is that a pink knob ?

Anybody think about replacing the plastic shifter boot while it was apart ?

Finally had the time to install my Barton. Went with the SS knob. I cheated and had my daughter get that damn boot back on...Couldnt seem to get both my paws in there together. Anyway, no noises or rattles of any kind. And the shift gate is extremely tight. It also has a very mechanical feel. Never tried the Hurst, but am quite pleased with this unit...AZ5G
