The only people that do not want a 6th gen Z28 are those that own a 5th gen Z28

Is that just your wanna be Z/28 jealousy showing?? Most of us are pretty normal guys here on the Z/28 section; so that statement is a bit snippy Pardner. BTW nice fake Z/28 rims...

Personally I feel fortunate that some 20 something idiot w/o a license or insurance; driving his mommy-in-laws worn-out 25 year old Honda Civic totaled the front end of my '11 2SSRS.

The resulting wreck accomplished two thngs:
it knocked the front end of that 2SSRS to the passenger side by 15", bending the frame badly
it knocked me directly into a new Z/28 w/35% off MSRP... allowing me to turn EVERY dime I had invested in that car, plus the inflation I was paid; into a Z/28...

Thank you Corvette Museum insurance with an agreed on insurance value...

It was just an observation. Go read any of the Gen 6 Z28 threads - almost all of the negative comments are posted by Gen 5 Z28 owners.

"Wannabe Z28 jealousy"...really? Get over yourself dude. A new Z28 can still be had for the price of a new minivan - well within the reach of almost anyone that wants to own one.

I love the Gen 5 Z28 and all that it stands for - a 6th gen version would do nothing but elevate it

+1 - progression is inevitable and a Gen 6 Z would be awesome!

My thought is that most Z/28 owners, like myself, are happy that Chevy kept with the Z/28 formula...., and did not change it to add a new car with a power adder to keep up with the HP wars... A lot of guys appreciate the existing formula, NA, big displacement, bullet proof track car that will run lap after lap with consistent results and be very simple to maintain and diagnose...
Looks like the next Z/28 will be a NA double overhead cam track car. This is really cool, because now we can compare a NA smaller displacement double overhead cam z/28 to the existing NA big displacement push rod Z/28. This is a cool comparison....
Personally, I really like the ZL1 1LE, but, the complexity, power delivery, etc... with the supercharger and with the 11 coolers is not the Z/28 formula and is not something I would compare to the existing Z/28. It has a different formula and is pointed at a different audience...

There is no need for one. Just like there is no need for a turbo 4 1le. Cant believe people want 6 track models. All we need is gm slipping back to their pre bailout stupidness.

Exciting times for Camaro lovers!
I've had an SS and a ZL1 and loved them both, and I still have a modded Z28 and love that as well!
