Hope you didn't pre-order the Camaro and have a 2nd choice in vehicle.

No, I didnt pre-order, I will wait to see what % they offer when things calm down, I have been waiting years for this car, a year or two more wont hurt.

I think GM will offer some incentives on the Camaro, if they want to sell 100,000 of them a year, they should.

They'll offer incentives at MY end like all other vehicles. If you can wait until Oct/Nov you'll get at least some kind of discount and most likely a lower finance rate than during the first 6 months after launch. Me, I'm not waiting- I ordered 1st at my dealer on October 13th for a reason...

You might even get to test drive one.

There better not be test driving going on with my Camaro. I expect roughly .2 miles on the odometer from going on and off the truck... I fully intend on being there waiting when the truck pulls up regardless of whether it's 3 in the morning...

Ya, I'z a little 'cited. Beer will subdue me in the interim.

It would seem looking at earlier posts here that those with access to Credit Unions will be able to do quite well. Both my brother and sister work for Geico which allows me access to their Credit Union.

New Cars:
1-36 months 3.50%
37-60 months 4.25%
61-72 months 5.00%
I made it a point to switch to a credit union last month just for this reason. Lower rates and great interest on checking accounts. Hell, I'm making more money on my down payment savings now than I did with a regular bank. I'll be getting about $250 - $400 a month just off of my savings. Even more when I add my tax returns to it next month. I also have a .25% credit on my first loan with them. So if it's 5.50%, I'll get 5.25% interest. Switching to a credit union was the best move I made while planning for this new car

Anyone who fits into the following categories should check out Navy Federal CU:
- current/retired Military, Reserves, & Guard
- DoD civilian employees
- DoD contractors assigned to US GOV installations
- Family members of above

0 - 36mo = 3.75
37 - 72mo = 5.25
73 - 84mo = 6.75
85 - 96mo = 7.25 (w/min of $30k financed)

Have you ever ordered a new vehicle before? My last two arrived at the dealer each with 7 miles on the odometer. (I work just one mile from a dealership and the salesman called me at work when my '08 arrived and it was still on the carrier.) The lowest I have seen was around 5 miles and I have seen many arrive with 10 or more miles on the odometer.

And if your car happens to be pulled at random after assembly at the factory as an "audit hold car" for a QC check of rattles, fit and finish, then delivery mileage can be in the high teens or twenties. In which case the production control department will add a sticker to the windshield advising that the car was an audit hold car and noting that the factory warranty will be extended by the excessive delivery mileage.

I was being a little facetious to make a point- like I don't expect the lot boys to take it and get it washed like Bill Murray did in Stripes...

As for your question, no, I have never factory ordered a vehicle but I have bought 5 brand new, the last, my 04 GTO with 11 miles on it.

Probably a little early to discuss the rate until we know what the Fed is going to do but if the rate is low enough I may just spring for a 1SS but I don't really want to spend much over $500 a month. I know they used to give 1.9 for 3yrs but that is a large payment to make each month.
Best score u can have is "Excellent" 750-850. You have zip concerns!!

I know I should be able to get a excellent credit score but I'm not sure if they only give you a low interest rate for 36 months and I may need 48-60 months. Still waiting on wife to get a solid job but I know I can swing the 2LT RS IOM with the IO Leather seats right now.

Navy Fed CU is a great way to go! I had my last loan for my 99 TA w/ them, and they will be the first bank I apply to for my new Camaro....second choice will be my local CU.

Yep, I went to buy my 350Z with a Cap. One blank check in hand, approved to a limit and a competitive rate at the time.
