When we built our house and three car garage, my hubby built in a water outlet so that we have heated and softened water to wash cars in the garage or drive way. No water spots!

Be sure to have the floor of the garage painted/sealed before moving in. I curse myself everyday that I didn't do my floors the right way before moving in.

I can only wish. My house was built in 1966 and I have no shade in the driveway. I just wash my car at night.

Going to be a long project but will be fun.

As of yesterday They've just started laying the foundation.

I'll post some pics tonight or tomorrow.

Here's the floor plan of the garage.

The step ceiling is confirmed to be 24" high so that will give me about 10' 6" of ceiling height... Just enough room for a lift
Back to the original OP post....

Get the 8'x8' and 18'x8' doors. You won't regret it.

You know, I've been thinking about this.

I need to talk about this with the builder... I don't think I have enought wall height with the Elevation we chose... But I've been told I can go with the taller doors and it brings the tracks closer to the ceiling.....

I'd love to have the taller openeing as well.

Hmmm.

Let me get you some pics of some of the 3 car garage i have built for costumers, it may give you some things to consider with your builder.

Please DO!!!

Just keep in mind my permits are pulled so I'm pretty much stuck with what I've got.

I was able to get in touch with my builder today so we pretty much confirmed that I've go to go with what we have for now.

But on the inside of the garage... we can still do what I want

Are they sticklers in FL about the permits being in plain view all the time? When we had our house built last spring I never saw a single permit on the site. I was able to change anything at any time as long as it wasn't to late in teh build process.

Chris,

Have the perfect house warning present for you.

A video surveillance system, so you can keep watch when away from home....
