60-130

Been playing around on my dragy and was wondering. What mods or how much power would it take to get our cars into the 7.9x range for 60-130 times? Currently I am at 9.52 I am sure I could get it a small amount faster with faster shifting but I feel I am at a solid repeatable point

Add more power. My 0-130 time is about 9.5 seconds.

If you do please post results. My best so far is 9.52 not extremely fast but stock boost. I feel its a good base to go off of for my next round of mods first week of May. I plan on rerunning it after the mods to see the gains.

I checked my last logs from the track to get a data point for you. I'm in the 8.3x range with my current mods, including about 0.8-0.9s of slow-a$$ shifting from 2-to-3 and 3-to-4. #drivermodneeded

Personal best is 6.95. Done a lot of stuff since then. Expecting mid 6s, or possibly high 5s next time out.

Nice. What all did you have with the 6.95?

I just got a new best tonight with my new mods.

The 6.9 was done in some nice, dense midnight air down here in FL. Car was around 750whp, and on 20s and street tires, with full interior. This was about 2 years ago, so I believe it was still all stock suspension and drivetrain, stock mufflers, with intake/headers, 2.5"/8.6" pulleys, a cam, and E85.

You're on the right track starting in 3rd. You lose too much time and momentum with the 2-3 shift. Put the hammer down at around 50mph, and by the time you get to 60mph, the throttle will be wide open, the ECU will be in power enrichment and stabilized, and you'll be in full acceleration when you hit 60.

Nice, I am thinking about a cam but I may just add a touch more boost and port the supercharger and see where that lands me first. I used to have a cammed 98 formula and I am really enjoying the tameness of having a stock cam......But that power bug will eventually get me lol
