It's no biggie since its a small price to pay for me not having any more leaky cap issues like I did with the Roto-fab setup.

Must have happened while driving or some other way. Still need to clean mine off.

Okay one minor but a pain in the butt gripe. I'd been smelling coolant all week long and I couldn't figure out why. Turned out the coolant was leaking from the damn D3 tank from the little plug they put in for people that want to install like a drain plug or something like that.

The little plug had barely any Teflon tape which allowed the coolant to slowly leak out. Freaking pissed me off that whoever put that plug in from D3 chinced out by barely using any Teflon tape. I spent a good hour or so rinsing all the damn coolant that had leaked all inside my engine bay.

I was not happy.

Sorry to hear that, just one leaky thing after another for you... Thanks for sharing the info though, I'll make sure once I receive mine to pull the plug and redo the Teflon tape myself.

Be sure to do that. That damn coolant mess could have been completely prevented had it not been for the carelessness on D3's behalf.

What coolant is everyone running? I am going to replace the H/E next weekend with the tank and was wondering what everyone is using.

I used distilled water with one bottle of Water Wetter.

Oh boy. Sounds like D3 needs to do a double take in their QC dept.

These are problems unable to realize until the can is actually on a car with hot coolant. When things are built/assembled by hand there is always chance for human error unfortunately but we are taking care of everyone with a proper fix as soon as we can.

Please anybody else experiencing an issue email me directly. Evan@D3PerformanceEngineering.com

another update

I reapplied the Teflon a few days ago and yet I CONTINUE to smell coolant. so I checked the plug yesterday and the its still seeping coolant. I couldn't believe it. so today I'm taking the plug out AGAIN and I'm going to use Teflon sealant paste in hopes of getting it to finally seal.

if that doesn't seal then I'm taking the damn thing off and returning my car back to stock. I don't have the patience for all this leaky tank crap that I seem to be plauged with.
