What color hood vents?

Been meaning to paint these hood vents earlier but can’t decide what color. It’s the vis ams hood. Originally the vents were black but then somehow faded/wore off into a goldish color now. Should I paint them black, or silver, or keep them gold? Lol. Any other suggestions is greatly appreciated also

Thanks fellas!

I've been thinking about adding hood vents, the one thing I do know is that if I do, they will be Carbon Fiber or hydro dipped Carbon Fiber to compliment my CF stripes. Looking at the color scheme on your car, I would suggest getting them CF hydro dipped, I think it would compliment your overall scheme.

Thats a very nice hood, how long have you had it? Who did you go through to purchase it or what brand is it. I want one but i'm not too sure which company is a good company for the hood. i've seen some turn color after a few years.

It’s the ViS ams hood ordered from ViS online. I’ve had it for about one year and you’re right it does change colors after a a while. Mine has started to slowly turn yellow. It’s said to be from the sun, and also not having a proper clear coat on the hood. The manufacturers only put a gel coat on it which in time turns a yellowish color from the suns uv. But I’ve been told the easy fix to this would be to get it sanded down and re clear coated. I’m actually going to a paint shop this week to look more into it and hopefully get it down as soon as possible
