Serpentine belt

Someone in one of my camaro groups suggested a performance serpentine belt. What are the pro’s of getting one and is it worth it?
The part they suggested is:
Gates K060846HD serpentine belt green

Did they happen to suggest why to get said belt? The only thing an aftermarket belt would do over an OEM one is last longer/handle greater loads, so unless you're pushing the car real hard or racing it and/or you're super/turbo charged there should be no need to upgrade. Perhaps when it comes time to replace the belt you could get something like this, but I wouldn't go switching out the OEM just 'cause.

+what he said, no performance gains here, the green will last way longer and is what the police dept vehicles use as well as the hoses. (severe duty).
