Any hope saving my wheels (OE Polished)

Pretty much all there is to say my wheels have seen better days. It was clear when I bought the car the previous owner didn't take the best care of them. Which is understandable cause they are really hard to keep clean, but that's not me making an excuse for him. Every time I wash them they just keep getting worse and more clear coat starts peeling more spots get stained. Whats the best route to save them aside from just getting them refinished.

Once they're that bad, it's refinishing time.

It looks to me like they have already been painted. I thought the finish on all of these was polished areas with the rest bead blasted with clear coat over all. This is how mine are.

That's what mine look like too, well aside from all the peeling and what not.

I agree that it looks like it has already been refinished. The original clear on the wheels has been more durable than my refinished clear. The originals pitted a bit but never peeled like my refinished wheels.
