ls3 clacking noise. help!

So my engine has developed an clacking noise coming from what seems like the valvetrain, my son and i pulled the driver valve cover expecting a bad trunnion or rocker, nothing. my son suggested that we take off the pass. valve cover because sound might be travelling. We did and found a broken outer spring on #2 exhaust. installed new TS dual springs and put it all back together thinking the noise had to be the broken spring, wrong, the noise is still there. We could barely see the bottom of the lifter and cam lobe on that cylinder and no scarring or anything, pushrod was fine no marks. all the trunnions seemed fine no loose rocker's. I'm at a loss. My son thinks it is a bad lifter somewhere but it sounds higher up to me, so before we pull the heads i wanted to see if anyone has any thoughts. Please see video below.
